Curtis Griffith
Owner/Chief Executive Officer
Curtis grew up in Morton, Texas, on the family cotton farm. He graduated from Morton High School and attended Lubbock Christian College and Texas Tech University, receiving degrees from Tech in Agricultural Economics in 1973 and Law in 1977. Curtis and his family own farms in Cochran County, Texas, and Roosevelt County, New Mexico. The Griffith family has been in the ginning business since 1945, eventually owning all or part of four gins in Cochran and Yoakum Counties. Curtis spent many hours around the gins as a child and has worked at every job in or around the gin. He has been president and general manager since the four plants were combined into Southwest Gin of Texas in 1992. He is also the chairman of the board for Module Truck Systems and City Bank. Curtis and his wife, Sue, have two children and five grandchildren.
Dolle Barker
Owner/Chief Strategy Officer
Dolle grew up in Morton, TX and attended school there and also at Three Way. She graduated from Dell City High School in 1989 and from New Mexico State University in 1995 with a degree in Philosophy.
Dolle owned and operated an agricultural services business for almost twenty years in eastern Colorado, acting as both CEO and agronomist. She has enjoyed serving in many different capacities over the years, including mother, grandmother, municipal judge, justice of the peace, executive director, board member, community college professor, banker, financial analyst, and cotton ginner.
Dolle also serves as Chief Financial Officer of Griffith Enterprises and President and CEO of Gray Hare Analytics. When she’s not at the gin, you may find her working in her garden, curled up with a good book, or enjoying the Lubbock arts district.

Kristi Crouch
Director of Marketing
Kristi brings over 30 years experience working in the cotton gin industry to the SWG team. She joined the gin in August of 2015. Kristi, a West Texas native has been married to her husband, Johnny, for 35 years. She is both personally and professionally invested in bringing the highest prices to her producers.

Terry was raised around cotton gins. Her father was part owner in Claunch Gin in Bula, Texas for many years. She began working at SWG in 2005. The more trucks waiting to be weighed, the better she enjoys her job.
"You meet a lot of interesting people with many different stories to tell. I enjoy interacting with people and hearing their tales."
Terry has two children and two grandsons who keep her very busy in her spare time.
Canuto Tarango
Head Ginner
Canuto has dedicated 43 years to SWG, he has a wife, two daughters, six grand-kids and one great grandchild. He has been working this job his entire adult life and is one of the best at what he does.
Butch Davis
Module Truck Team Leader
Butch has been involved in agriculture for most of his life. He has been employed by SWG & Lone Star Module Hauling since 2007. Butch began driving module trucks part-time in the mid-1980s while he was farming. He has lived in Cochran County his entire life and knows the farmers and where all the fields are located.
Butch's motto is, "You call, we haul!"
He and Terry have two children and two grandsons.
Tom Newton
Module Truck Team Leader
Tom grew up in cotton gin's. His dad was the manager at Enochs Co-Op gin in Enoch,s TX. Tom worked at Three Way ISD as a football coach for five years before moving to the Texas Department of Transportation for 28 years. Although Tom started driving for SWG in 2009, he has just recently become a full-time staff member, and we are so glad he is here.
Tom, like butch would like you to know, “You call, we haul!”

Tommy is currently enrolled in the Texas Fire Academy at College Station but finds time to provide technical support for Lake Hills Church in Austin as well as Willingham Southwest Gin and Griffith Enterprises. He has also designed and built web sites for other businesses. He began driving a module truck with his grandfather at Southwest Gin when he was ten years old and loves being around the gin whenever he has the opportunity.
“I have spend my entire life at this gin, there is nothing I would rather be doing than driving a truck with my granddad or helping out around the gin with whatever needs to be done. SWG is my home and I am super excited to see what lies ahead!”
